Each week I’m feel like I’m rushing around to find the right pieces for my Living Room Refresh.
It’s Week 4 in One Room Challenge hosted by Linda from Calling It Home and I’m feeling good, but still worried I’m not going to finish everything by Week 6’s big reveal!
In Week 1 I introduced my living room, which is need of a refresh to finalize the design of the room, and provided my inspiration, like this blue and white living room.
I’m adding more blue and white to our currently coastal living room, that has lots of coral.
In Week 2 I provided you my plan, mood board, and to do list.
In Week 3 I provided my progress report and all my fun home décor and accessory finds!
Rounding out week 4 I’ve made some headway in finding sea shell mirrored prints. In Week 2 and shown above in the mood board, I went into detail about how I’ve wanted these prints for some time. Ballard Designs was my first choice, but since we’re on a tight deadline, I couldn’t risk investing in 6 prints for the cost and not arriving in time for the styled shoot next week!
I’m in LOVE with these beautiful vintage French seashell prints from Belle Mer Graphics! Better yet, I bought them this week, in transit as I speak, and within my budget! Now I need to find glass picture frames, which I found a few at HomeGoods last week but didn’t see any this week.
My herringbone monogramed throw from Tiny Prints arrived today and couldn’t be happier! It’s navy and darker than the one in my mood board, but it’s the perfect fit with my new custom navy square pillows for my coral Greek key sofa!
My last item on my to do list to buy was a light fixture to replace the outdated one in our front entryway. As I described in week 1, our living room opens up into our front entryway and my glam office, which I made over last ORC.
I’ve been crushing on Ro Sham Beaux chandeliers for a few years now and this Malibu Milk Chandelier would be so beautiful! However, it’s way over budget and considering this is not our forever home I don’t want to invest that much in our cyrrent entryway.
Next option is this chic Dahlia chandelier from Pottery Barn Kids! Yes, you heard right! Pottery Barn Kids has some very stylish and sophisticated home décor options that fit perfectly in adult spaces! Not to mention it’s a great price! I debated this option very seriously, but since we have two similar beaded chandeliers in our home, I thought I should go with something that is more traditional yet still modern.
I really wanted to find an iron pagoda pendant, but budget and color was hard to find. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find this Allen + Roth Collinwick Specialty Bronze Pendant Light at Lowes. I picked it up and it’s still sitting in a box on the floor. If you’ve followed my other challenges, you know that installing chandeliers in our home is one of the LEAST FAVORITE things! So, to save our marriage I’m going to try to find an electrician to install it before next Thursday!
My custom pillows have shipped, but I still haven’t received them yet. I’m also waiting on my re-upholstered arm chair. Crossing my fingers everything arrives in time for the photo shoot next Thursday!

It’s amazing the great adult decor you can find at PB Kids and Teen, isn’t it?! That beaded chandelier is great, but I love the pagoda shape you ended up with! I am all about hiring electricians…it’s better for everyone involved! 🙂 I can’t wait to check back in next week! Oh, and thanks so much for the shout out, friend!
