In week 1 I discussed my design inspiration and overall plan for our coastal inspired family room refresh.

If you’ve been following me on Instagram, then you’ve probably seen the major progress on the reclaimed wood custom mantel!

Fabric finally arrived last Friday and furniture pieces were picked up on Monday! Yes, you heard that right, I will need furniture reupholster by next weekend in order to finish install and have the room photographed. YIKES!
While I’ve been freaking out a little, I’ve also been enjoying these beautiful custom pillows from New South Home! Can’t wait to see it pulled together with the re-upholstered sofa and arm chairs.

What hasn’t happened is white washing the fireplace, which was suppose to happen last weekend. However, my husband was out of town and being solo with two little girls under 5 kept me plenty busy. I had planned to attend my 20 year high school reunion this weekend and just received the news that my husbands grandmother is not doing well, which means this will have to be pushed to next week.

Here’s my running To Do List:

  • Decide on reupholstering sleeper sofa or buying a sectional
  • Choose fabric for sofa, recliner, wing back chair, and toss pillows
  • Find an upholsterer
  • Order fabric
  • Choose a round coffee table to place in front of the sofa – Purchased
  • Upholster furniture pieces – In Progress
  • Choose a table console for behind the sofa
  • Custom design reclaimed wood mantel – In Progress
  • Paint fireplace white
  • Buy accessories for table console and coffee table – In Progress
  • Find someone to install mantel
  • Rearrange gallery wall – In Progress
  • Purchase art work for gallery wall
  • Order canvas wall art from Tiny Prints
