It’s week 5 of One Room Challenge Family Room Refresh. This is the final week to most of your big projects completed before week 6, reveal week!

In week 1 I discussed my design inspiration and overall plan for our coastal inspired family room refresh.
Week 2 I talked about fabric choices, coffee tables and my decision to go with this round gold glass one from Wayfair.
Week 3 I talked about my console table options and some of my favorite home décor accessories!
I also shared my custom mantel inspiration, which is being designed by Bear Wood Company, via Trove Market!
Loving how fresh and bright the brick fireplace looks and the entire family room for the matter! I’ve wanted to paint this fireplace white ever since we moved into this home 3 years ago. Only regret is not doing it sooner!
This painting is even better in person and fits exactly my style and feel of our coastal family room! I’ve always loved elephants and have them represent through my home from elephant photographs from my grandfather’s safaris in Kenya, mini sculptures, or elephant garden stool. Even in my youngest daughter’s room she has elephant wall art! I’ve always wanted an elephant painting and this one is stunning!
So what’s left to do you ask?
You’re looking at the state of my family room refresh! PANIC! Bailey and the girls have enjoyed the large area to run around and bounce on the mattress from the pull out sofa. However, I’m going crazy without having everything finished already. Furniture should be reupholstered and delivered by Friday for install day. However, there is a chance that could be moved to Saturday. In that case, I will be finishing up this room on Mother’s Day!
I still need to find the right place for all my new art work and finish re-arranging the gallery wall on the back wall. Also trying to find a handyman to install mantel so that I don’t crack it in the process.
