Elmo Themed 2nd Birthday Party - Sarah Sofia Productions

Like most toddlers, my daughter Sofia runs around all day saying Elmo and just can’t get enough of this Sesame Street character! Thus, Sofia’s World was created, modeled after Elmo’s World.

An Elmo themed party was the perfect fit with Sofia’s love of water activities to celebrate her 2nd birthday in style! We set up her water table, beach ball sprinkler, bubbles, and water guns to make a splash in Sofia’s World!

Since we hosted the party on Labor Day, we had our local favorite BBQ from Mac’s, with kid friendly sides of mac and cheese, veggies, and baked beans. Continuing with the picnic theme I used red and white checkered tablecloths for the adult and kids table found at Hobby Lobby.

I wanted Sofia to be a part of this creative party and had her paint the red and turquoise Sofia’s World sign for the food table. She also added her touch to the chalk board outside that greeted friends as they entered the water activity station.

One of Sofia’s favorites, homemade chocolate chip and oatmeal cookie ice cream sandwiches, are always a hit with kids and adults! Of course there was a signature drink! Since it was a kids party raspberry and regular lemonade was severed in mini blue mason jars with turquoise striped straws.
