I recently had the opportunity to put my fundraising hat on along with my event and styling to headline PlayPlay! Theatre’s first fundraiser in Charlotte.
A husband and wife duo, Mark and Meredith Sutton, who are passionate about children and the arts, started PlayPlay! Theatre, plays geared toward the very young, ages 0-3.
As with any organization planning its first fundraiser, PlayPlay! Theatre needed to build their donor base and find an audience in Charlotte. We reached out to the arts community and started brainstorming on creative spaces to host a cocktail event.
LaCa Projects, Latin American Contemporary Art, hosted the fundraiser at their gallery. The gallery not only showcased beautiful art work, but was the perfect, creative space for an evening benefiting theatre for young children. The exposed brick walls and dim-lit gallery set the mood for an evening cocktail event. The floral arrangements by Sarah Sofia Productions were simple, yet elegant adding a pop of color to the black linens. The origami pieces were a perfect addition for this artsy affair!
