Guests gathered on the tent covered deck for cocktails and horderves while waiting for Jim’s arrival.
When Jim walked into his backyard he was overwhelmed with emotion to see 120 friends and family members gathered from all of the country underneath the tents!
The color scheme and décor was a subtle navy and burlap. In lieu of flowers Susan, the hostess, wanted a more neutral look for her husband’s party and choose centerpieces with rocks and flameless candles with navy and straw craft ribbon. In addition to the lights strung above the tents we added candles (flameless) around the event space and tiki torches around the pool.
The dinner buffet was plentiful with beef tenderloin sandwiches and chicken lollipops being the favorites.
For dessert, Susan served assorted cakes from Jim’s favorite bakery in Athens, GA. However, the highlight was when the cigar and scotch bar opened, which are two of Jim’s favorites.
Guests danced the night away while children played in the pool, and all enjoyed the pop up photo booth!
The most important elements of the party for Susan were for guests to feel relaxed, enjoy themselves on the dance floor and come away loving the food. The party did not disappoint!
