Looking for something fun and different than you’re normal weekend activity this spring? Head to your local farm for some strawberry picking!
This year we ventured back to one of our local favorites, Carrigan Farms. My girls love being outside and doing an activity where they learn about the fruits and vegetables the eat. Being a participate rather than an observer in our healthy food choices is important and fun!
Best part about picking strawberries yourself, is eating them!
You can even pick seasonable vegetables!
Check your local farms strawberry picking schedule as the season is different in each region, but in North Carolina we have until May 31.

I can’t wait to do this. I found a place that is pretty local that has strawberry and peach picking.

My kids and I go strawberry picking every year. Sad that we may miss it this year.

We must live close to each other! How cool! We absolutely love picking Strawberries at Carrigan Farms. I’ve promised my kids strawberry picking this week, and I can’t decide if we are going to try a farm a bit closer to us or stick with the longer drive and tried and true Carrigan! These pictures are making me excited for our trip!

It looks like you all had a great time. I’ve seen lots of strawberry picking posts over the last few weeks and I must say, I’m a bit envious. I’ve never an opportunity to go.
