Memorial Day Inspiration from the Southern C Summit
I attended the Southern Coterie Summit, AKA The Southern C, April 29-May 1 in Charleston, SC. For those of you that don’t know what the Southern C is all about, it’s an opportunity for small businesses and entrepreneurs to Connect, collaborate and create in a niche environment with like-minded creatives. There were so many talented creatives and many small business that have great Memorial Day inspiration.
Since Memorial Day Weekend is upon us and it’s the unofficial greeting to summer, I wanted to share recipes and inspiration for your holiday weekend.
How creative and delicious does this BBQ look served up in a waffle cone from Food For The Southern Soul? Your guests would love this if you were doing a casual rehearsal dinner or rustic farm wedding.
If you like your BBQ more traditional, we just tried Southern Soul Barbeques’ Signature Southern Soul Dust, Sweet & Savory Dry Rub, and it was delicious!  Make sure you add grilled corn on the cob, leave husks on for more juicer taste. Add olive oil, sea salt and pepper, and you have an easy side.
Memorial Day Brunch Ideas!
Don’t forget about breakfast or brunch. If you like a little kick to your eggs, then you should try Pappy Bourbon Barrel-Ages Hot Sauce on your eggs!
Memorial Day Drink Ideas
After all the spicy food you need something refreshing to wash it all down. Have a festive lemonade bar or make it into a John Dailey cocktail by adding ice tea and vodka.
Decorate your lemonade bar with fresh lemons styled in tiered trays, bowls and crates. Add green and white straws.
Hope this inspires you for your Memorial Day celebration and into the summer! For more memorial day inspiration check out our ideas and recipes here, here and here,. Come back next week for more details on the Southern C Summit and our collaborations!
