If you’re like me and love the thrill of the hunt AKA searching for that perfect antique, unique or vintage furniture piece, or home décor item then you’ll love Trove!
Trove is a second hand marketplace that makes it easier than ever to buy, sell, barter and discover preowned, restored, and vintage furniture and home decor items in the community, all on a simple mobile app or on their website.
Trove found me through Instagram, and over the last few months we’ve gotten to know each other better and are currently collaborating on a piece for my 5th round of One Room Challenge (ORC), hosted by Linda from Calling It Home. I’m also excited to share the news that Sarah Sofia Productions is featured today on Trove, which you can check out here!
One of the things I love about Trove is it’s one of the best alternatives to Craigslist by weeding out all the miscellaneaous items and solely concentrating on furniture and home décor.
Trove started in San Francisco as a need to get more foot traffic into local furniture and home décor boutiques. Moreover, the founders of Trove personally love decorating with vintage and secondhand finds, and believed that there should be a mobile first and cross platform solution for the furnishings and home decor space. Trove is the only local buying and selling mobile app that supports payments and smart fraud detection. Additionally, if your not ready to buy or sell right away, Trove has a unique engagement features that helps start a conversation and build relationships.
When Trove contacted me last fall, I had just finished my living room refresh for ORC and was thinking about finding a small home décor item to add to my home from their mobile app. Fast forward to the end of March, and we have discussed several different pieces of furniture options for my ORC family room refresh! I started looking for accent tables, coffee tables, and table consoles. Here are some of my favorites!

One of the cool aspects about Trove is connecting shop owners and dealers with potential buyers such as myself. Trove is the liason between the two and helps to build the relationship between the buyer and seller. I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Jon, Pivot Project, regarding a console table or coffee table. How cool is this 3 chair bench he designed?
On Monday I was connected to Matt, Bear Wood Company, and we had a great conversation about him building me a custom mantel for our family room refresh! Matt makes these beautiful wood furniture and rustic state art pieces. Here’s one of my favorite from my home state of Ohio!
