First Birthday Parties are one of my favorite parties to plan!

Tissue paper or fabric garland is one of my favorite party décor pieces, especially for a first birthday party, because it can make any occasion festive and also doubles as home décor long after the party!

This sweet and whimsical party dress was the First Birthday Party theme. Using pink, coral, blue, gold, and yellows I coordinated the rest of the décor. I love these tissue paper flowers from Via Blossom, which is also inspiration for the backdrop! One of my favorite elements of any party, but especially a kids party, is the dessert table!
From the backdrop, sweets, to printables, you should try to coordinate them all with the theme of your party! I recommend having at least 3 sweet treats for people to choose from, enough that everyone has a bite of something.

One of my favorite parties we planned and designed, which is also one of our most popular pins on Pinterest, is this Cherry Blossom and Birds Themed First Birthday Party.
If hosting a kids party around lunch or dinner make sure you include a food table, which has something for both kids and adults to enjoy!
Keep it simple with pizza, slidders or BBQ as your main dishes, fresh fruit, fruit squeezable packs, gold fish, pretzels, or chips.
