On Monday we shared with you our easy and simple, but elegant Spring tablescape along with 7 other talented designers and bloggers!
Today, we’re sharing our Festive Easter Celebration and showing you how you can transform an effortless spring tablescape into a festive Easter one!
When I think of spring, I think of Easter and the opportunity for a fresh start with everything in bloom! Bring the colors of all the blooms from the outdoors in by using fresh florals of the season.
I choose whimsical ranunculus, tulips, daffodils to create this floral installation above the dinning table. I absolutely love how it turned out, drawing the eye up and in when guests arrive!
We used the same violent vintage chinaware from my great great grandmother that we used for our spring tablescape and added mini baskets from World Market, with gold foil Easter eggs that doubled as place card holders.  Each basket has pink, blue or robin’s egg blue chocolate covered candies at the bottom. We flipped our DIY wooden flower crate upside down and styled it with bunny rabbits, Robin’s eggs, an Easter tree and Easter sign.
I wanted the floral installation to be the focal point and not have large floral centerpieces competing with it on the table design. I used low blue mason jars and medium glasses vases to display simply floral arrangements along with succulents.
I also added mason jars filled with colorful robin’s eggs, DIY Easter eggs I made a few years ago with materials from Michael’s, sweet treats such as mini carrot cake, tulip cupcakes and colorful chocolates at either side of the table.
Easter is more important to me than Christmas because it signifies a fresh start for all of us! Let your children be a part of the celebration and add whimsical décor that will draw their attention! We styled this celebration one way for an Easter Dinner Celebration as well as a kids celebration but switching out the plates and using these egg shapes plates with adorable Easter bunnies on them!
