What You Need For a Chili Cook-off and S’mores Party

Entertaining doesn’t have be fancy or difficult. Opt for a beautiful yet easy tablescape if you’re hosting a few people.  As host you provide chili, drinks, kids food, and s’mores. Ask your guests to make their favorite chili recipe! We had 5 different chili recipes to try, including a sweet potato vegetarian recipe, which was a pleasantly surprised favorite!

If you’re throwing a large party opt for festive and easy buffet style and let guests serve themselves drinks and chili. Use festive paper plates and napkins as well as disposable flatware so you’re not spending all night doing dishes.

Chili Recipe

Our hearty chili is always a favorite with kids and adults alike using lots of sautéed vegetables and apple chicken sausage. You can get the full Hearty Chili recipe here.  We also served grilled hot dogs for the kids.

Drink Recipe

Instead of fancy glassware try serving a signature drink in plastic reusable cups, like these Happy Fall Y’all ones with our tasty Sparkling Apple Cider Rosemary Cocktail!

Guests also enjoyed our signature Apple Cider Moscow Mules in copper mugs and Cheers Y’all mason jars. We made enough for 10 people for the chili cook off and served it in a copper punch bowl so we didn’t have to keep playing bar tender. You can get the recipe here.

S’mores

May I have s’more please: Everyone loves a good s’more and having a fire pit is a great family friendly activity!

Make it easy to prepare the s’mores by serving all the ingredients to guests in pretty crate baskets or serving tray. We love using Resse Peanut Butter Cups and carmel chocolate to make a unique s’more!

Before the end of the party make sure your guests vote for their favorite chili recipe!
