I am finally sharing our master bedroom refresh from last spring and how easy it is to refresh your master bedroom in the new year!
It seems we’re always refreshing the spaces in our home to fit our lifestyle, style and budget.
As with any room you update you don’t have to change everything or break the bank to refresh a space. An easy way to refresh any space is adding a new rug. I love how this vintage blue and white rug from Rugs USA looks our master. We bought a smaller one for our master bath refresh.
Adding an accent pillow or new sheets is a great way to refresh a space and make your bedroom look pulled together. Last year at this time we bought new blue trellis sheets from Serena & Lily’s annual white tent sale and took this fun blue cozy pillow from our living room to update our bedding.

We also replaced clear glass lamps that had blue lamp shades with these white lamps that have Greek key trim, which coordinates with the Greek Key pillows.

Ironically, we are getting ready to refresh our master bedroom again with finally upgrading to a king size bed!
I’ve been eyeing this beautiful Claudette Headboard from Ballard Designs for a year now for one of my daughters, but love it so much we bought it this week for our master!
I would love to have a custom upholstered headboard like this beautiful piece above, but with my allergies and our dog Bailey sleeping in our bed, our current upholstered headboard hasn’t been the best decision. Thus, we are going back to a wood headboard. I also love the chic blue and white with the pop of Orange.
If you’re following me on Instagram you might have seen what’s inspiring me for new bedding in my insta stories. Our home is a coastal style with blue and white woven through out. I love blue and white as well as coral and this color combo is trending for 2018 as seen above in Serena & Lily and Pottery Barn bedding lines.
I do love color however there is something soothing and serene about blue and white, which has me leaning toward mixing and matching Serena & Lily’s Savory Embroidered French Blue bedding with their vintage French Beaumont bedding.
