We’re continuing to inspire you in the new year with easy, budget friendly bedroom refresh ideas like this colorful and whimsical girls bedroom!
Lets take a look back at what this room looked like before the recent refresh.
You may recall that my daughter wanted a princess bed, which is why we had the netting above the bed. At the time of her big girl room refresh we had this beautiful floral comforter with matching sheets, which gave the room a beautiful bright feel. However, I am loving the colorful impact of the pink and coral artistic duvet!
This bird cage duvet from Pottery Barn Kids is the perfect fit for this cherry blossom and bird themed bedroom.
You may recall from previous refreshes of this bedroom that it was inspired by this whimsical bird and cherry blossom painting.
The bird cage duvet’s color pallet mixes pastels and bold accents  with vintage inspired art work, which gives it a modern twist and coordinates with the pastel colors in the room.
We also added a new sheet set, Decorator Sheets from Pottery Barn Kids, which is currently on sale! I love how the white and pink pops with the duvet and light blue walls.
Another easy and budget friendly way to refresh a space is to add new lighting. We replaced the small lamp on the flower pedal bedside table with this glass lamp that has blue lamp shade that was previously in our master bedroom.
The lamp shade adds color and coordinates with the bedding and light blue walls. Don’t forget to add a little floral arrangement, like we did on the bedside table.
When I look back at this space from nursery to girls bedroom it’s such a transformation!
