We’re getting in the holiday spirit with our Merry and Bright Christmas Home Tour! Seven of my talented home decor friends are joining me today to give you inspiration this holiday season.
I’m the first stop on the blog home tour, but if you’re coming from Kellie, Gratefully Vintage welcome! I love Kellie’s style, especially her beach house, and seeing it decked out with simple but festive Christmas decor is so beautiful and calming! She’s been renovating their beach house and I love her navy blue and white kitchen with gold hardware {Kitchen Goals}!
This year I decided to use blue, metallic gold, pink and white as my main colors. I hand painted the magnolia wreath I’ve owned for a few years with A Makers’ Studio Metallic Gold Chalkart Paint and added a gold ribbon. I’ve seen similar gold leaf wreaths retailing for $100. You can get buy 3 get 1 free Chalkart Paint, Stencils, or Rescue Restore Paint through today  here!
Each year I reuse the same pre-lite garland from Frontgate and add new decor. All the new colored ornaments and miniature nutcrackers are from Old Time Pottery. I love using the little figurines from Germany that have been passed down to me from my parents, which use to store chocolate. I found the two pink nutcrackers at Pier 1Â this season to finish the mantle.
To coordinate with my magnolia wreath I styled fresh magnolia garland from Ballard Designs with blue and white ribbon flanked with fresh pink poinesttias. I custom designed the Merry Christmas Wreath tray using A Makers’ Studio Chalkart Paint in Metallic Gold, Peace and Joy, and Cute As A Button and Queen Bee/ Bon Appetite Mesh Stencils.
I decided to place our Christmas tree back in the right hand corner of our family room. We really only have two spaces to place it in this space, and this one gets less traffic than by the fireplace.
Mix and match decor pieces you already own to create vignettes likes I did at the coffee table, accent table, and console table behind the sofa. These DIY Gold Leaf Ornaments I made with A Makers’ Gold Foil and Gilding Size are chic and easy way to update the look! I replaced the blue and white vase with a glitter reindeer to add some sparkle.
I added a little fresh greenery to the doorway from our family room into our kitchen this year and hung wreaths above our doors with blue and white ribbon.
I like the fireplace without Christmas stockings, but I have little ones and this is our only fireplace, which means I had to put them up! We’ve had these blue, white and red Christmas stockings from Pottery Barn Kids for 7 years now, and they’ve stood the test of time. They’re also on sale today!
Hop on over to stop #2, which is the talented sister duo Sue and Teri of Wool and Vine Designs. Â I love their style and you won’t want to miss their swoon worth winter wonderland!
