Weather you celebrate Easter or decorating your home for spring, we’re sharing easy styling tips that everyone can use this season!
Easter is always more meaningful to me than Christmas, for many reason, but because it falls around spring with everything starting to bloom and the blessing for new beginnings.
An easy way to decorate a dessert or food bar is to add a view main pieces and anchor with a centerpiece.
Start with your table linen, and try wrapping it diagonal over your table. Then add a festive garland, like this gold foil egg garland, and place it diagonal across the table.
Add a colorful floral arrangement with spring seasonal flowers such as tulips, hyacinths, and taller florals to create height. Check out my spring floral arrangement video tutorial on Tiktok
We used this Amalfi Decor cake stand to create height and color for our floral centerpiece. Add a sign and few small decor pieces like these gold foil eggs and Easter Sign. You can create your own gold foil eggs and Easter wood signs using gold foil, ChalkArt Paint, and stencils from Sarah Sofia Productions, A Makers’ Studio Shop.
Do you see Some Bunny Loves You wood sign we created the other week?! If you missed the tutorial you can get it here!
Create your own custom cocktail napkins with ChalkArt or ChalkArt Gel Ink Paints and stencils sold in Sarah Sofia Productions, A Makers’ Studio shop. You could also create you own dessert plates using the stencils and GelInks.
Sometimes a small scale dessert bar works better for your occasion. We took the Inside Out Carrot Cake Cookies and Lavender Amalfi Decor cake stand and moved it to the kitchen counter. We added DIY Spring tea towel that we made using ChalkArt Gel Inks and spring stencils, A Makers’ Studio Re+New+All Hibiscus Candle, and a small succulent arrangement.
If you’re hosting a Spring or Easter sit down brunch or dinner, your dessert station can double as your main dinning table.
Add flatware, colorful linen napkins, and festive chinaware like our violet chinaware that was my great great great grandmothers!
Add gold foil Easter eggs with place cards to make your seating more formal.
Adding a mix of fresh and faux flowers through your home will bring the outdoors inside without breaking the bank. We added faux succulents, DIY Easter eggs, happy easter banners, glitter bunny rabbit, DIY Easter egg wreath, and Easter baskets to create a festive but easy interchangable spring and Easter mantlescape. You can get the DIY video tutorial on TikTok.
We switched out our home decor books with our entertaining books from Resse Witherspoon and my talented friend Courtney Whitmore of Pizzazzerie, Pizzazzerie: Entertain in Style with the colorful covers. Added DIY Easter eggs using our GelArt Inks and Stencils in our blue glass flower bowl, and a Easter ornament tree.
We took our faux blue hydrangeas and white roses from the living room and added them to our table console along Easter eggs.
